Why Us?

Overview

When selecting a trainer, consider their commitment, experience, drive and determination.  Combine this with examination of the horse's environment and consider if your horse will be cared for by a dedicated team.  Then look at facilities.   Does the horse have everything it needs to be relaxed, healthy and trained with the latest techniques and equipment?  Are the owners involved and do they feel part of the stable?   Examine the track record of the trainer.

Our training expertise has been built up over 30 years thus ensuring your horse will get every help to reach it's  full potential.

Our group of owners are important to us and like our horses, they are treated with respect.

Examine the reasons here-under why you ought to join us at Pat Flynn Racing...... take your pick!   Contact us at any time to discuss how you too can become involved.

  4. We have all the facilities needed to get the best performance from your horse.
  5. We have a heart monitor to double-check fitness and health.
  6. Our exercise riders and jockeys all love horses and are very gentle and kind when handling them.  This ensures that all horses are relaxed and contented while in training.
  7. Farming area – nearest trainer 12 miles away, lessens the likelihood of cross contamination of viruses etc.
  8. We can get the best out of horses whether they are 5f sprinters or 3 mile hurdlers.
  9. Excellent gallops with good climbs to bring a horse to peak fitness.
  10. We are passionate in our pursuit of excellence, tirelessly seeking out new and improved ways to enhance our horses performances.
  11. We try to keep things simple.“Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler “, Albert Einstein.
  12. Prize money in Ireland is holding up well. Sir Mark Prescott, Mark Johnston, Richard Hannon and other English trainers make regular “raids” to Ireland in pursuit of the valuable prizemoney offered here.
  13. We have a world-class hay drier which we shipped in from California (USA) to ensure our horses have sweet smelling hay.  Our hay looks and tastes great and horses feel very happy when eating it.   The sound of contented horses eating good hay is wonderful.
  14. Diet is hugely important.  As well as hay, we feed top quality racehorse cubes plus various supplements and tonics.  “An army marches on its stomach”, Napoleon Bonaparte.
  15. Our stables are power washed, disinfected and painted regularly thus ensuring that  the horses environment is clean and healthy.
  16. We graze all our land once a year with cattle to keep the land fresh and sweet.  It is essential to rotate cattle with horses for a healthy pasture.  As we own all our own land, we have accessibility to it all year round.
  17. Our horses are turned out in paddocks for an hour or two in the summer even when in full training.  They love it.
